Biography

Dr. Thanh earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, focusing his research on bioinformatics, cancer neuroscience, and tissue engineering.
Before joining VinUniversity, Dr. Le worked as a Clinical Research Specialist at the Hi-Tech Center of Vinmec International Hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam. His research experience includes exploring microbiome signatures for colorectal cancer, developing innovative heart-on-a-chip models from patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells, and applying multi-omics approaches to identify novel Vietnamese tumor biomarkers.
Dr. Le’s research contributions have significantly advanced the understanding of cancer biology and microbiome, evidenced by publications in journals including Gut Microbes, Frontiers in Oncology, Breast Cancer Research, and NPJ Breast Cancer. At VinUniversity, Dr. Le will actively contribute to interdisciplinary research collaborations, curriculum development and mentorship, reflecting his dedication to scientific advancement, educational excellence.
