Biography

Dr. Than Thi Trang Uyen received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in cytology from VNU-Ha Noi University of Sciences, Vietnam, in 2003 and 2007, respectively, and a Ph.D. in biomedicine Science from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, in 2017. She joined Vinmec in 2017 and has been with VinUni since 2024, with the role of the Central Lab Director at Vinmec-VinUni Institute of Immunology and Assistant Professor. Her research is focused on applying extracellular vesicles in regenerative medicine, including developing products for skin rejuvenation, hair growth, osteoarthritis treatment, and drug delivery systems. Dr. Than Thi Trang Uyen has authored or co-authored 40 papers published in international and domestic journals and IPs. She has also developed several products that are being applied to customers at Vinmec Healthcare System for skin rejuvenation.

Dr. Than Thi Trang Uyen received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (2003) and a Master’s degree in Cytology (2007) from the University of Natural Sciences – Hanoi National University, Vietnam, and a Doctorate degree in Biomedical Sciences (2017) from Queensland University of Technology. Dr. Uyen joined Vinmec in 2017 and has worked at VinUni since 2024, and also holds the position of Director of the Central Lab Center at the Vinmec-VinUni Institute of Immunology. Her research focuses on the application of extracellular secretagogues in regenerative medicine, including the development of products for skin restoration, hair growth stimulation, osteoarthritis treatment, and drug delivery systems. Dr. Than Thi Trang Uyen is the author and co-author of 40 articles published in international and domestic journals as well as intellectual property rights. In addition, Dr. Uyen has also developed products that are currently being applied at Vinmec Healthcare System for skin rejuvenation services.
