Biography

Dr. Son Hai Vu is a biomedical scientist with a background in microbiology and immunology, trained in South Korea during his graduate and postdoctoral studies. His research focuses on cancer immunotherapy and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Vu’s work has been supported by academic and industrial funding sources, including ICGEB, Vinmec, and VinUniversity. His projects—particularly engineering iPSC-derived NK cells for cancer treatment and developing patient-derived tumor organoid–based drug testing—aim to bridge physicians and basic scientists to enhance translational and clinical impact. He has also mentored undergraduate students and early-career researchers to help them advance in both academic and industrial settings.
